Hello! I’m Nikki, the proud owner of The Dirty Pawz. My grooming journey began at 19, right after high school, when my parents encouraged me to explore a trade. I attended the Academy of Dog Grooming Art in Arlington Heights, where my passion for grooming truly took flight.

At 21, I co-founded my first business, Canine Corner, and also developed a pet grooming product called Black Gold—an all-natural, organic styptic powder for wound healing. This venture allowed me to travel the world, attending pet grooming trade shows, where I gained invaluable experiences and insights, even though it didn’t quite take off as planned.

After dedicating a decade to Canine Corner, I decided it was time to spread my wings and start my own business. Now, at The Dirty Pawz, I’m excited to provide a welcoming and professional grooming experience for all pets.

On a personal note, happily married and a mom to a wonderful 13-year-old boy named Jaxon. When I’m not grooming, I love to travel, with Costa Rica holding a special place in my heart as my favorite destination.
